Short answers to the usual questions.
When does it come out?
There is no release date yet. News posts will announce it first.
How much does it cost?
The game is free. If you want to run your own world, the dedicated server files are a one-time €15.
What platforms is it on?
PC through Steam. Other platforms have not been announced.
Can I play alone?
Yes. You can survive on your own, but the county is built for groups, and playing together is much safer.
How does multiplayer work?
Worlds run on dedicated servers and stay persistent. You sign in with your Steam account and join a server. The server decides what happens, so the world is the same for everyone.
How many players can a server hold?
The number is not fixed yet. The networking is built so the player count can grow as the game is tested.
Is it only zombies?
No. Hunger, thirst, injuries, weather and the dark are all threats. Zombies are the loudest one.
Will there be vehicles and base building?
Both are planned. Vehicles need fuel and repairs, and safehouses can be fortified with walls, barricades, storage and generators.
Will you support mods?
Not decided yet.
